A 52-year-old woman from Bengaluru stabbed her 56-year-old husband using a kitchen knife after he refused to take her to Singapore with him on the basis that she failed to keep their house clean. 25 years in Singapore has made the husband a Singapore citizen, and he wanted to take their son, who was 20 years old at that time, along with him leaving his wife behind.
The woman assaulted him when he was sleeping in the afternoon over his decision. She also splashed water mixed with chilli powder on his face. The husband and son were able to lock themselves in the bedroom and ring the cops. The woman was arrested and was released on bail.
This horrible case of domestic violence has its miserable and funny side to it. It demonstrates how some people can go to any length just to fulfil their desires and to vent their frustrations. On the one hand, it also shows the absurdity and irony of the situation. The husband had a problem with the woman’s housekeeping skills since they got married in 2002. He even wrote a diary on how dirty and unclean their house was.
Finally, he had to decide between his parents, who were both in trouble. He also had to face the fact that his mother tried to kill his father over something insignificant.
