Woman Run Over by Train
A shocking news has been making the rounds from Bihar’s Begusarai, where a woman reportedly jumped in front of a moving train, supposedly in an attempt to end her own life.
What followed was a brilliant display of reflexes from the loco pilot, who quickly used the emergency brakes to bring the train to a halt, thus saving the woman’s life.
Although this news has been tragic, the response on social media is sickening, to say the least.
People have found a way to insert racism into what could have been a big tragedy. Instead of speaking about mental health, trolls have started to target Biharis for their inability to choose ‘dying venues’.
One user said, “Biharis are a stain on this nation”.
Another commented, “What was the need to die in front of the train? She could have easily killed herself in a room by hanging or drinking poison. She even wasted auto fare before trying to die”.
People need to let go of their narrow thinking and start talking about the positive and constructive aspects rather than focusing on meaningless hate based on the State of the victim.
