Despite Vihari’s contributions to the team, including leading them to knockouts multiple times and representing India in tests, he felt disregarded and disrespected by the association’s actions.

Vihari’s decision not to play for Andhra Pradesh again stems from a loss of self-respect and a feeling of humiliation.

He expressed disappointment with the association’s priorities, emphasizing their focus on authority rather than the players’ well-being and growth.

This revelation comes after Andhra’s narrow loss to Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals, adding more fuel to the controversy.

Responding to Vihari’s allegations, Prudhviraj KN, the player mentioned in Vihari’s statement, refuted the claims, asserting that Vihari’s accusations were false and had hurt his own self-respect.

The involvement of Kuntrapakam Narasimha, a YSRCP politician and the father of Prudhviraj, further complicates the situation, suggesting potential political influence within the cricket association.
