Zomato Delivers Cockroach In Food!

Zomato, one of the front runners in the Indian online food delivery platform, has landed in a controversial situation where a customer from Agartala complained about a dead cockroach in the Japanese ramen ordered through the app.

Sonai Acharya who published the photos on Zomato saying that she had a “horrific experience” ordering from Zomato and was “really disappointed” with the quality control of the company as a result.

In the end, Zomato answered her complaint and expressed their apologies for the incident. The company further offered the full refund of Rs 320 for the order and announced that it would examine the matter.

Nevertheless, this is not the first time that Zomato has been accused of such approaches. Recently, a lady from Bangalore also mentioned her horror of finding a cockroach in her Chicken fried rice which she had got from Zomato.

Due to these events, there have come up queries about whether the restaurants on Zomato meet the standard of hygiene and safety or not and the accountability of the food delivery platform to ensure the customers’ satisfaction and trust.
