Venkatesh Iyer has been receiving massive backlash from the public due to his subpar performance in the last few games of the IPL.
His latest batting performances have been disappointing, to say the least, with humiliating scores of 7, 0, and 14 working as a black spot in his career.

Venkatesh’s recent dig at SRH in a press conference has also added the much-expected fuel to the fire, as one can’t expect to throw stones with one’s own home being made from glass.
Venkatesh’s exact words about SRH were, “We don’t want to be the team that scores 250 when we’re playing well and when we’re not, we get out for 70.”

Many in the public have started calling him overpaid, saying that KKR could have easily gotten far better combinations like KL and Starc, Joss Buttler and Ranada, or Arshdeep Singh and Priyansh Arya.
With the guns now pointed his way, it will be interesting to see if Venkatesh is able to turn things around in KKR’s next match against RR.
