Heroism Wasted: Rishabh Pant Stands Alone?

Rishabh Pant‘s heroism on the field has left everyone across the world mesmerised. Batting with a fractured toe and scoring a 50 on that has turned him into a living symbol of resilience for his nation.

While Pant worked hard to give India a fighting chance, the bowlers, on the other hand, also worked pretty hard to ruin that same chance.

The Indian bowling lineup visibly looked helpless to take wickets, leading to a major partnership between Zack Crawley and Ben Duckett.

This is not something new for the team. It is an open secret that the Indian bowling lineup has multiple defects that need to be filled.

Things don’t look so good from the batting perspective as well. While our batters shine on a flat pitch, they fall like a deck of cards when the situation gets tough.

GG seems to be clueless in his coaching job, at least when it comes to test matches. The shine of Captain Gill also seems to have faded as he continues to struggle with the bat.

A few like Pant give their sweat and blood to the game, but as long as the team doesn’t function together as a unit, there is very little hope that we will be able to win this match, let alone the series.
