Shubman Gill, as Indian skipper, has been nothing but fiery both on and off the field. He has so far stood firm for his team through thick and thin, calling out the extreme hypocrisy of the opponents.
In a recent press conference, Gill once again gave a direct blow to English pride as he pointed out how their batsmen were 90 seconds late to come to the crease when there were just seven minutes of play left.
Gill mentioned how, although bringing physios on the field after a player got hit on the body was okay, their coming 90 seconds later and deliberately trying to kill more time was not.
With such strong statements, Gill has definitely put a major dent in English pride. Fans are also quite excited to see such an aggressive stance to the captaincy, something that was missing after the resignation of Virat Kohli.
With the 4th test match going firmly in India’s favour right now, it will be interesting to see if the public gets to witness more of their fiery new skipper on and off the field.
