GT win by 58 runs in a high-voltage clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium Gujarat Titans produced a clinical performance to outclass Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs in their IPL 2025 encounter.
Sai Sudharsan’s composed yet aggressive knock and disciplined bowling did the trick as the Titans dominated both halves of the game and showed their title credentials in style.

Ahmedabad was electric and the home side made sure the fans had a night to remember.
The game didn’t start on a high note for GT. After winning the toss and batting first on what the experts called a “super batting surface”, GT lost their captain Shubman Gill early.

Jofra Archer, bowling with pace and rhythm, bowled Gill in the third over with a delivery that moved just enough to rattle the off-stump.
At that stage GT were 21/1 in 3 overs with Archer on fire and the Royals sensing an opening. But that was short lived.

Gill’s wicket brought out the best in Sai Sudharsan. After surviving a testing first over from Archer, Sai settled in and started playing with elegance and intent.
A top edged pull off Archer for the first boundary of the innings gave him the confidence he needed and from there he hardly looked back.
His timing through point, flicks off the pads and confident strokeplay helped GT build momentum.
Supported by smart running between the wickets and other wickets and other and other wickets and wickets. He grew.
Though the score wasn’t shared, it seemed Gujarat scored around 220 as per the pitch report.
Rajasthan Royals were rattled by the scoreboard pressure. Their top-order which is usually full of firepower failed to fire together.
Gujarat’s bowlers stuck to their plans, mixed pace, length and smart field placements. The red soil pitch that offered true bounce was exploited well and wickets fell at regular intervals.
The 58-run loss margin shows RR were never really in the chase, lacked partnerships and momentum throughout their innings.
This wasn’t just another league match win — it was a statement. Gujarat showed they can bounce back after early setbacks, adapt quickly and put together a complete performance.
The match also exposed some flaws in RR’s approach under pressure, especially their dependence on top-order firepower and lack of adaptability when chasing big scores.
Sai Sudharsan’s maturity stood out; he didn’t just anchor the innings but accelerated when it mattered most, showing growth as a future leader in the Titans setup.
With this win, Gujarat Titans added 2 crucial points to their tally, climbed to the top of the points table, and reminded the other teams that they are still a force to be reckoned with.
Sudharsan’s performance will be one to watch this season, while the bowling unit’s ability to defend a strong total reinforces GT’s balanced squad strength.
For RR, it’s back to the drawing board to figure out what went wrong and how to recover from this heavy defeat.
