This is a picture of Chennai Super Kings, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is currently captaining the side in the upcoming edition of the IPL. Incidentally, CSK took the occasion to publicize his captaincy stint and this did not go well.

Social media users are commenting that Ruturaj has one of the least aura for any captain in the IPL this year. Strangely enough, this picture shared by CSK is leading to more trolls on the captain as the attempt to elevate him has backfired.
Factually speaking, replacing MS Dhoni as the captain of the side is nearly impossible task for anyone. This appears to be the detrimental factor in the case of Rudra Raj Gaikwad now as he is facing virtually endless trolls on social media now.

But at the end of the day, Ruturaj is a talented player himself, and we need to cut him some slack. He is certainly trying his best to replicate the legacy created by Dhoni.
Perhaps it is the responsibility of the social media handles of Chennai Super Kings to stop playing this aura card on Ruturaj because it’s simply not working.
