The retentions for the forthcoming season of the IPL is underway with the teams officially announcing their final list of players. Thus far, it looks like SRH has the strongest lineup.
SRH is the only team to have all the bases covered. They have a gun opening pair in the form of Head and Abhishek. This is followed by sensational all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy.

We then have Pat Cummins who is again another stellar bowler and proper captaincy material. This is the kind of gun core team that is easily capable of winning the IPL title.
SRH is one of the few teams to have all the bases covered and this is the kind of balance that is missing with other teams.

Head and Sharma are already the best opening pair in the league, followed by a strong batting all rounder in the form of Nitish. This Nitish guy is going to be the next big thing in Indian cricket and retaining him is a great move by SRH.
Mumbai possibly comes next in terms of the core team with the likes of Rohit, Hardik, Bumrah and Surya retained. All the other teams need to have a good IPL auction if they are to stand firm.
