It needs to be said that Sunrisers Hyderabad were one of the most consistent and feared teams of IPL last year. However, things have not been going very smoothly for this franchise this year as they have ended up winning just one out of the five games that they have played.
The principal reason behind this shockingly poor performance this year is obviously going to be the poor bowling performances that they have put up.

Even while Sunrisers were scoring massive, score of 280 and 270, the shocking thing that must be noted is that they have been considering 240 or 230 run in return.

Statically speaking, Sunrisers bowling has been one of the worst for any team in IPL over the last couple of years. In terms of economy, and wicket taking average, Hyderabad has been ranking one of the lowest in the league.
This is a crucial issue that must be addressed on priority and needs adequate strengthening if the team is to achieve any kind of success. Putting up such brilliant performances with the bat, and then struggling like hell with the ball is not going to win championships for this side.

Cummins has been rather hot and cold. Other dollars like Shammi and Harshil Patel have been inconsistent. Losing Bhuvaneshwar Kumar delivered a killer blow to the team as the balance went missing after his departure.
It is the need of the hour that Sunrisers Hyderabad finds a perfect balance between the existing core bowling group, and that is the only way out for the team now.
