KKR’s nail-biting loss against CSK yesterday meant that the team went on to receive a boatload of criticism from fans and haters alike.
Ajinkya Rahane, in particular, has been the one to have to bear a lot of the weight due to his poor show of captaincy.
Despite KKR’s underperformance in the IPL, it was at least expected that the defending champions would defeat Chennai at Eden Gardens.
However, things turned out to be completely opposite, with MSD and Anshul Kamboj finishing the game for CSK.
Many hardcore fans have demanded an extensive change in the franchise, calling for the selling of Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Moeen Ali, Quinton de Kock, and Andre Russell.
Similar calls have risen for the firing of head coach Chandrakant Pandit as well as mentor Dwayne Bravo.
With heat coming from each direction, it will be interesting to see if KKR takes the right steps to cool off their angry fan base by securing a victory against SRH in their upcoming game.
