A Career Packed With Experience

Watson brings immense experience from his international career. He played 59 Tests, 190 ODIs, and 58 T20Is for Australia, scoring over 10,000 runs and taking more than 280 wickets across formats.

IPL Champion With Two Titles

In the IPL, Watson represented Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Chennai Super Kings. He won titles in 2008 and 2018 before retiring in 2020, leaving behind a powerful legacy in franchise cricket.

KKR Banking On Global Expertise

KKR CEO Venky Mysore said Watson’s world-class T20 knowledge will be a major boost for the franchise. Watson called KKR “iconic” and said he looks forward to working with players to bring another title to Kolkata.

Strong Support Staff For IPL 2026

With Dwayne Bravo continuing as mentor, KKR’s refreshed coaching lineup combines global experience with Indian insight a mix they hope will drive another successful IPL season in 2026.
