While many sources claim that the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee wanted to take in Shami but could not because of a last-minute injury, others claim that it may be the indication of yet another test retirement from the Indian side.
People have begun to fear an Ashwin-like situation for Shami, where he may take retirement from test cricket if he feels he’s not being given enough chances.
