KKR Sleeping on Another Gem?

It is not a secret that the defending champions, KKR, have had to face a dismal tournament in 2025, not even being able to reach the playoffs.

While it has been true that the team has struggled with coaching issues and a lack of the right implementation of players, it is also a burning point that it has so far not found a homegrown face for its franchise.

Last year’s stunning victory led to many thinking that Shreyas Iyer would finally become that face, taking the franchise into the future. But it has not been so.

Although this year has been bad for the franchise, it has been promising for young talent Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who scored 300 runs this season with an average of 33.33 and a strike rate of 139.53.

Now KKR fans have begun eyeing him as the potential future face of the franchise post-GG era, given that KKR can keep him in the franchise.

It will be interesting to see if this promising player can repeat the magic with his bat the next time he steps onto the field in 2026.
