No Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma: No Party For India Vs England

The closely anticipated test series between India and England is going to start in just over a week from now. However, there are a lot more apprehensions about this series and here is a look into the story.

The primary cause of concern here is the lack of senior players in the team as the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have retired from the test format just three weeks before the start of this test series.

It needs to be said that Virat Kohli has been one of the greatest players in the history of Indian test cricket, and he was one of those rare players who could succeed in England conditions.

Without the assuring presence of Kohli and the dominating performance of Rohit Sharma, it is going to be tough going for India in the upcoming series against England.

More importantly, the current captain of the side, Shubman Gill does not have a great record as a player, let alone being a captain.

Gill has nothing to show himself in the test format in the domestic circuit itself, and he is now facing the challenge of leading India in the testing and challenging England conditions.

This is going to be one of the crucial passages for India, as the transition from the senior professionals is happening very quickly.

It should certainly be a huge challenge for the current captain of the team Gill, and also his men to replace Virat and Rohit, which is not going to be an easy task by any means.

Another crucial factor that must be noted here is that we don’t quite know if the audience would be interested in this series due to the absence of Virat and Rohit, who have been two of the biggest crowd pullers for India over the years.
