Chennai Super Kings have had a disastrous start to their 2025 IPL campaign, and naturally, fans are disappointed. Amidst the chaos, a shocking remark from Ashwin has left the Yellow Army even more enraged.
In a recent YouTube video on his channel, Ashwin commended RCB fans for their loyalty while throwing some shade at his own team’s supporters. He said, “RCB fans are the best. They back their players even during tough times, unlike CSK fans.”

The remark has set social media ablaze. Some agreed with Ashwin, pointing out how Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube had to disable their comments due to online abuse and trolling.
However, solely blaming CSK fans while applauding RCB supporters seems to be blindsight as toxic behaviour isn’t exclusive to only one team. Trolls exist in every fandom and even resort to threats online.

Furious CSK fans argued they have every right to express disappointment and question the team when things go wrong.
“Just because of MSD’s name, you all think you can get away with this nonsense. We have every right to question the management,” a frustrated user wrote on X.

Ironically, Ashwin’s remark about trolling made him the center of it. Nonetheless, this definitely wasn’t the best time to take a dig at the fans especially when emotions are already high over the team’s miserable performance.
