RR’s Shocking Demand Crushes Samson-CSK Trade!

Sanju Samson’s much discussed move to Chennai Super Kings is hitting a major roadblock. Rajasthan Royals have reportedly set conditions that CSK is unwilling to accept, putting the high-profile trade on hold and leaving fans uncertain about his future before IPL 2026.

RR’s High Trade Demands

According to reports, RR owner Manoj Badale approached CSK asking for one of their star Indian trio Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, or Shivam Dube — in exchange for Samson. CSK immediately declined, unwilling to part with any of their key players.

Interest from Other Teams

While CSK has stalled the deal, other IPL franchises are said to be interested in acquiring Samson. One team is reportedly close to finalising an agreement. RR could also opt to release him, freeing up ₹18 crores in the mini-auction and letting him go under the hammer.

The Challenge of IPL Trades

This situation highlights how complex IPL trades can be. Players can request trades or releases, but the final decision rests with the team unless it is a mega-auction year. RR is determined not to weaken their squad, while CSK refuses to part with top talent.

What Lies Ahead for Samson

For now, a CSK move appears unlikely unless they bid for Samson during the mini-auction. He could still attract interest from other teams or continue with RR for the 2026 season. Fans will have to wait to see where the next chapter of Samson’s IPL journey begins.
