Following the failure of Coolie, Rajinikanth has completed shooting for the highly anticipated sequel Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Reports suggest that post-production work is progressing quickly, and the makers are reportedly targeting a September release.
Earlier, Rajinikanth’s next project, tentatively referred to as Thalaivar 173, was officially announced with director Cibi Chakaravarthi. However, recent rumours claimed the director could step away from the project due to NOC-related issues involving a Telugu producer.
Amid this uncertainty, fresh reports now suggest that Ashwath Marimuthu may replace Cibi Chakaravarthi as the director of Rajinikanth’s 173rd film. Though there has been no official confirmation yet, the speculation has already become a major talking point among fans.
