While Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, directed by Dhanush, is an actor-turned-director’s movie, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon is a director-turned-actor’s movie.
Now there is strong criticism raised by the audiences against the Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam movie as it was released by Red Giant Pictures, which is one of the biggest distribution houses so they have locked the major screens in many theatres in Tamilnadu. But in reality, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon has a huge buzz amongst the audiences.
Even though Pradeep Ranganathan has proven himself as an actor with Love Today, Dragon is struggling to secure screens, also NEEK has acquired the special show 9 am slot in many single screens in Tamilnadu.
For this, some trade experts on social media responded that NEEK has been given priority in many theatres as the distribution cost for the movie is very low, whereas for Dragon it is comparatively higher.
Even though NEEK has a little bit of an advantage in the opening due to Red Giant’s release, positive word of mouth is the major factor for the success of the movie, so let us see whether it’s going to be Dragon or Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi who is going to win the battle on February 21st.
