Dhanush’s Raayan movie, which was censored yesterday, has received an ‘A’ certificate with a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes. This was the actor’s milestone film in his career, as it was his 50th film as an actor.
Raayan was directed by Dhanush himself and has a stellar cast, including SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Aparna Balamurali, Dushara Vijayan, and many others. This film was produced by Sun Pictures and tentatively planned to release on July 26th. The musical album for this movie was composed by AR Rahman.
After the censorship, Dhanush and the production house confirmed that the movie had received an A certificate by releasing an official poster. This was the talk of the town since the release of the poster, as many critics and audiences were praising Dhanush, saying that he doesn’t care about censorship and produced a brutal film as his 50th film. Many actors will plan their 50th film as commercial entertainers, but Dhanush himself directed the movie and is going to drop a Bloody Gangster movie with a North Madras backdrop.
There were also speculations that Kalanithi Maran, the founder of Sun Pictures, has watched the movie Raayan and asked Dhanush not to cut any scenes, and it is okay with the A Certificate. Raayan is also the first A-rated film to be produced by Sun Pictures. Let us all wait and watch what Dhanush cooked this time, and his previous A-rated movie Vadachennai was a cult classic. Will Raayan also match the same vibe and be a memorable milestone for the actor?
