
Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, which was released in theatres on 21st December, is a blockbuster success and doing wonders in the box office collections.
According to the reports, Dragon has collected around 25 crores in Tamil Nadu and 50 crores worldwide in its first weekend, and it’s on par with top Tier-2 Kollywood actors movies collection.

At the same time, netizens on social media were trolling Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi by comparing it with Dragon’s success, mentioning that it’s better Dragon was postponed from February 14 to February 21st; otherwise, it would have thrashed Vidaamuyarchi in the box office collections.
So far, Vidaamuyarchi has collected only around 77 crores in Tamil Nadu. If the same trend continues for the Dragon movie this week too, Dragon would easily cross Vidaamuyarchi’s final worldwide and Tamil Nadu theatrical collections, according to trade experts.

Ajith Kumar fans on social media mentioned that February month is usually a dry period, and that’s why Vidaamuyarchi ended up as a failure, but Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon proved them wrong and is doing wonders in box office collections.
Looks like 100 crores box office collection is now a cakewalk for Dragon, and let us see how it performs in the box office collections in the coming days.
