Jailer was one of the blockbuster movies of Kollywood last year. The director of this movie, Nelson Dilipkumar, is all set to take off the sequel to this movie.
Rajinikanth’s Jailer has a stellar cast, which includes Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and many others. Also, Mollywood star Mohan Lal, Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar, and Bollywood star Jackie Shroff had cameo roles in this movie. The music for this movie was composed by Anirudh Ravichander and Sun Pictures. Kalanithi Maran has produced this movie.
This movie was a tremendous success during its time of release. Anirudh’s Hukum song was a chartbuster, and with Rajinikanth’s screen presence, the movie was packed with goosebumps. After the blockbuster success of Jailer, some months later there was a strong buzz that Nelson Dilipkumar was planning to direct part 2 of this movie, but for quite a few months there haven’t been any updates about part 2. But recently, Yogi Babu, who has worked in all of Nelson Dilipkumar’s movies, including Jailer, confirmed in a recent interview that Nelson Dilipkumar is working on the script and is going to direct the Jailer Part-2 movie, and also mentioned that Yogi Babu has a strong character, just like Part-1 of this movie.
If Jailer-2 happens, it’s going to be a blast for Tamil cinema audiences, and it also has the high potential to gross more than 1000 crores, which is a dream mark for Kollywood.
