Karthi, after the success of Meiyazhagan, is currently acting as the lead in two projects: Sardar 2, directed by PS Mithran, and an untitled project directed by Taanakkaran-famed Tamizh.
Earlier buzz suggested a potential collaboration between Karthi and Sundar C for a commercial entertainer, with shooting slated to begin after Karthi completes his current commitments.

Now, there’s strong speculation that Nayanthara might play the female lead in this Karthi–Sundar C project, and an official announcement is expected soon.
Following this, social media users commented that Karthi and Nayanthara are a “flop duo,” citing their previous collaboration in the 2016 release Kashmora, which was considered a significant box office disappointment.

Some netizens also stated that Karthi is taking a huge risk by collaborating with a director like Sundar C, whose films they deem “cringe.” They further commented that the success of this movie will likely depend on the reception from mass audiences, as Sundar C’s films typically don’t perform well in A Centres.
However, there haven’t been any official updates on this project yet, and it remains to be seen whether it will materialize and end up as a successful venture for Karthi.
