He also mentioned that he wraps up all his movies within 6–8 months of shooting, and his only request to his actors is to maintain their look throughout the shoot. This statement has now gone viral across social media.

Following this, some netizens commented that Lokesh Kanagaraj has a huge opportunity to direct movies like RRR and make Tamil cinema proud, but he is neglecting such chances and sticking to his comfort zone.

Additionally, some people criticized Lokesh, stating that even though RRR took three years to complete, it collected around ₹1000 crores worldwide. They argue that finishing films quickly is not an achievement if those films don’t become massive blockbusters despite having a large star cast.

However, Lokesh Kanagaraj just mentioned in a casual way that he is not directing movies like Rajamouli’s, which may require 2-3 years to complete, and he will complete the shooting of his movies in just 6-8 months.

But some people on social media are manipulating and twisting what Lokesh Kanagaraj said and are expressing that he is mocking Rajamouli’s work style, and sharing negative feedback.

Nevertheless, his next movie Coolie carries huge expectations among Kollywood audiences, and many trade experts believe it has the potential to become the first ₹1000 crore movie from Tamil cinema.

It remains to be seen whether Coolie meets audience expectations and achieves the dream ₹1000 crore milestone for Kollywood.
