Pradeep Ranganathan returns after the success of Dude with his third release this year, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on December 18. Interest has picked up quickly after reports of a leaked plot began circulating online.
The alleged story sets the film in 2040. SJ Suryah plays the head of a company that makes a device designed to fix relationships. An Instagram influencer named Dheema, played by Krithi Shetty, becomes obsessed with online fame and supposedly falls for Pradeep Ranganathan through this device.
According to the leak, Pradeep Ranganathan’s character believes more in real emotions than technology. Conflict begins when he takes on SJ Suryah and the company. The rest of the story reportedly focuses on the fight against the business and the fate of his relationship with Dheema.
Reactions online remain divided. Some say the idea feels new and different. They believe strong writing from Vignesh Shivan can turn LIK into a major hit and possibly Pradeep Ranganathan’s third Rs 100 crore film of the year.
Others feel the same concept risks tipping into cringe. The futuristic angle does not work for everyone. Several viewers argue that fantasy driven romances often struggle to connect with audiences when emotions feel forced.
There is no official word on the leak. The story has not been confirmed by the makers. The actual plot will only be clear when the film releases in theatres.
