Following the continuous failures, including the last release, Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi, there was a strong buzz that Lyca Productions was going to shut down once they completed their earlier commitments.
But now, according to reports, Lyca Productions is likely to make a comeback in the Kollywood industry with multiple big projects, as they have already secured call sheets from star actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Silambarasan TR.
Also, the pending work of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3 will most probably resume in a few months, and Kamal Haasan has also agreed to act in an action movie with less remuneration for the production house.
Following this update, Kollywood audiences on social media responded that once Lyca Productions makes a comeback, they should select good projects and also produce medium-budget movies in addition to the big ones.
Lyca Productions’ comeback is crucial for the Kollywood industry, as, despite multiple failures, they have produced multiple big projects, including the Ponniyin Selvan franchise. These types of big productions are needed for the growth of the Kollywood industry.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen how Lyca Productions’ Phase 2 is going to unfold and whether they choose wise scripts and become a successful production house in the future.
