Coolie’s second single, Monica, featuring Pooja Hegde and Shoubin Shahir, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, was released on 11th July. It has since gone viral and is ruling social media.
Many viewers, after watching the Monica song, have responded that Shoubin Shahir, with his brilliant dance moves, outshines Pooja Hegde’s hot moves and looks.
In this scenario, some Rajinikanth fans on social media, pointing out Shoubin Shahir’s screen presence in the Monica song, and have commented that Rajinikanth is the only actor to give screen space to others in his movies, allowing them to score.
They further claim that Vijay and Kamal Haasan are actors with more insecurity, hence they do not allow other actors to score in their movies.
These comments from Rajinikanth’s fans triggered Vijay and Kamal Haasan’s fans, who responded, stating that those Rajinikanth fans seem unaware of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Thug Life, and also Vijay’s Master.
They argue that Kamal Haasan gives scope to score for Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi in Vikram. Similarly, in Thug Life, Silambarasan TR has equal screen space to Kamal Haasan, and at the same time, in Master, Vijay Sethupathi also has equal scope to Vijay.
However, all these are just social media comments, and this doesn’t amount to a major criticism against Rajinikanth. Nevertheless, Coolie has huge expectations among audiences, and it remains to be seen whether it becomes a blockbuster success upon its release on August 14th.
