Music composer Sam CS recently, in an interview, opened up about the PR campaigns undertaken by composers to make songs viral. This has now started a heated debate on social media.
Sam CS stated that his songs only get noticed if the movie becomes a hit, as he doesn’t engage in any PR pushes through reels to promote his music, unlike what he observed his fellow composers doing.
Furthermore, he mentioned that if a song truly goes viral, it should remain on playlists for a long time. However, he noted this isn’t happening, with songs often not even lasting a month. In such cases, he questioned how a viral song can be considered a hit, and due to this, the quality of songs is going down.
Following this, many netizens on social media are speculating that Sam CS indirectly attacked Anirudh Ravichander, as most of Anirudh’s recent songs have gone viral but haven’t had long-lasting appeal.
Netizens also agreed with Sam CS, stating that the quality of songs is indeed low nowadays, as composers are only focusing on delivering a 30-second hookline for reels in their songs.
However, all these are social media speculations. Sam CS did not mention any music composer’s name, and his statement is currently going viral, prompting people to share their opinions on it.
