An unconfirmed speculation about why Sundar C has stepped out of Rajinikanth’s 173rd film, which is produced by Kamal Haasan is now going viral on social media.
According to the buzz, Sundar C narrated a horror story to Rajinikanth, which had already been rejected by Vijay Sethupathi and Santhanam two years back.
Furthermore, there is also information that while Rajinikanth was somewhat appealed by the one line story narrated by Sundar C earlier, when the director developed it into a full script, it did not satisfy him and he consequently rejected it. Later, Sundar C himself announced that he was stepping out of the project due to the rejection.
Even though this is just a random social media buzz many people are believing this and responding that the mistake is not Sundar C’s, but Rajinikanth’s.
They feel that if Rajinikanth had no intention to act in a horror film, then why did he agree after hearing the one line, instead of rejecting it earlier before the announcement? Rejecting it once the announcement was made is totally wrong and they feel that it will affect Sundar C’s reputation.
On the other hand, some are criticizing Sundar C based on this buzz suggesting that he should have created a new story to pitch to Rajinikanth. Instead of doing so, he narrated a very old story that had already been rejected by Vijay Sethupathi and Santhanam, which is why Rajinikanth might have found the script poor and rejected it, even though the announcement was made.
However, all these are just social media speculations and till now, there is no clarity on why Sundar C has stepped out of the project. It remains to be seen which director is going to replace Sundar C in Rajinikanth’s 173rd film and how it’s going to take shape in the future.
