The shooting of Rajinikanth’s most anticipated Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is progressing at a fast pace, and the team is planning to release the movie in August.
Earlier buzz suggested that Telugu actor Sundeep Kishan was playing a crucial role in the movie, and this was almost confirmed after Sundeep Kishan posted a picture from the Coolie set with Rajinikanth.

However, during a recent interaction with his fans, Sundeep Kishan clarified that he is not acting in Coolie and that he had only visited the set because Lokesh Kanagaraj is a close friend.
He also mentioned that he has watched the first 45 minutes of Coolie and believes it will be a treat upon release, with the potential to become a ₹1000 crore grosser.

After this, social media users responded by saying that such statements from actors cannot always be trusted. They pointed out that similar hype was created for Kanguva, which ultimately ended up as a disaster. So, until Coolie is released, they believe there’s no need for over-expectations.
Coolie is one of the most anticipated movies in Kollywood, and we have to wait and see whether it becomes a blockbuster and the first ₹1000 crore grosser in Kollywood.
