
Ajith Kumar’s most anticipated Good Bad Ugly (GBU), directed by Adhik Ravichandran, was released in theatres on April 10th and has received mixed responses from the audience.
Despite the reviews, GBU is rampaging at the box office, and according to reports, the film is soon set to cross the 100-crore mark in Tamil Nadu alone.

It is expected that by the end of its run, it will emerge as Ajith Kumar’s highest-grossing movie, surpassing Viswasam and Thunivu.
Following this, trade experts on social media commented that despite a poor start to the year in terms of box office collections, the Kollywood industry has delivered Dragon and GBU — two huge blockbusters — within just a 4-month gap.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon, which was released on February 21st, has collected around 150 crores worldwide and emerged as a massive blockbuster this year.
Following Dragon, GBU is also performing exceptionally well at the box office. If this trend continues, 2025 could turn out to be one of the most profitable years for the Kollywood industry, as many big films are already lined up for grand releases one after another.
