Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, which was released in theaters on June 5th, has received a disastrous response from both audiences and critics.
Due to poor reviews, Thug Life’s bookings have crashed in many centers. According to trade experts, if this trend continues, Thug Life may even conclude its theatrical run with lower earnings than Indian 2.

Thug Life’s OTT rights were acquired by Netflix. During the promotional events for Thug Life, Kamal Haasan revealed that the film would be released on OTT platforms only after the eight-week window.
However, now, due to the poor theatrical run, some trade experts are predicting that Thug Life’s OTT release may be preponed, potentially appearing after a four-week window.

Previously, Kanguva was initially slated for an eight-week OTT window, but due to its terrible theatrical performance, it began streaming on Amazon Prime Video after four weeks.
Therefore, it is expected that Thug Life may be released earlier on OTT than initially announced, owing to its disastrous theatrical run.
