There is strong speculation that Rajinikanth is in discussion with directors H. Vinoth and S. U. Arun Kumar to sign his next film after Jailer 2, and this project is reportedly bankrolled by Vels Film International.
Following this buzz, netizens on social media commented that despite delivering good movies like Chithha and Veera Dheera Sooran, none of S. U. Arun Kumar’s films have become commercial successes.

On the other hand, H. Vinoth is not currently in top form, as his recent films such as Thunivu and Valimai felt outdated and also ended up as box office failures.
Even if Jailer 2 receives mixed reviews, it has the potential to collect more than ₹500 crores at the box office. After such a big movie, Kollywood audiences feel that Rajinikanth should select a promising director for his next project and should not sign a film with directors who have recent flops, like H. Vinoth and S. U. Arun Kumar.
