Vijay Sethupathi’s Next Jackpot After Maharaja!

Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most popular actors in South India, and his last release, Maharaja, which was his milestone 50th film, was a tremendous success in both the theatrical run and in OTT too.

After Maharaja, Vijay Sethupathi is carefully choosing his movies, and he has also mentioned in an interview that hereafter he won’t be acting in any supporting roles.

Now he is currently acting as a lead in Pandiraj, who is known for his family entertainers such as Kadaikutty Singam and Namma Veettu Pillai. Also, he is awaiting the release of his next two movies, which were Rail and Viduthalai 2. Both movies were in the postproduction stages and expected to be released by the end of this year.

In this scenario one of the most celebrated movies of Vijay Sethupathi, which is 96, is going to have a sequel, it seems. 96 Director C. Prem Kumar has confirmed in a recent interview that the script work for 96 Part 2 is already completed, and once Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha have given the dates for this movie, the shooting will start. Looks like Maharaja was the second turning point in Vijay Sethupathi’s acting career after Naanum Rowdy Dhan.

96 is till now one of the best romantic films in Kollywood, but Part 2’s were most of the time disasters in Kollywood. Let us hope 96 escapes from the Part 2 curse and will be a blockbuster success, just like Part 1.
