Dhanush’s 3rd directorial venture, Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), starring fresh talents such as Pavish and Anikha Surender in the lead roles, was released in theatres on February 21st and has received mixed responses from the audiences.
According to the reports, as of now, NEEK has collected only around 7 crores in Tamil Nadu, and in most of the B and C centers, NEEK has crashed in the box office collections.
Even though it was directed by Dhanush and the musical album of this movie was composed by GV Prakash Kumar, the movie is only doing average performance in the box office collections, and in rural areas, many people aren’t even aware of the release of this movie.
After NEEK, Dhanush fans are in fear of whether NEEK’s average performance in the box office collections will impact Dhanush’s upcoming movie Idly Kadai, in which he has acted in the lead and also directed the movie.
NEEK’s average performance at the box office is already a predicted one, as it didn’t have any star value, and also Dhanush didn’t participate in any of its promotional events. Also, NEEK’s result won’t affect Dhanush’s Idly Kadai, as Dhanush acted as the lead in the movie, say the trade experts.
The shooting of Idly Kadai is almost completed, and the post-production is now happening at a fast pace. The Idly Kadai team has planned to release the movie on April 10th. Let us see whether Idly Kadai becomes a successful one after its release.
