At last, the voices have been heard as Meta has proven that they can be ‘generous’ enough to give users what they want. Now, WhatsApp has introduced the feature of logging two WhatsApp accounts on one Android smartphone.
Previously, this feature wasn’t available on the platform, leading users to opt for third-party software to access it. While that method worked, it always carried a security threat. But as WhatsApp has added this much-needed feature for the masses, it will be a big relief for everyone.
So, how do you use it?
Though this update will take some time to reach all users, the process is incredibly easy. To set up a second account, you will need a second phone number and SIM card, or a phone that accepts multi-SIM or eSIM. Simply open your WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to your name, and click “Add account.” You can control your privacy and notification settings for each account.
WhatsApp has been relatively quiet for the past couple of years, but now it has awakened from hibernation. While some bad updates may find their way to the platform, something as good as this one will greatly improve the lives of many users.
