Priyanka, 26, from Pandenapalli village in Kattamgooru mandal in Nalgonda district, died in the US. Priyanka completed her MSc from Alabama University at Huntsville.
Priyanka was doing optional practical training following the course. She went for a dental check-up when she was told about her blood being infected. Later while she went to take bath, Priyanka fell unconscious.
Noticing that she took long to come out, her friends found her and took her to a hospital. Priyanka was in an unconscious state when the doctors declared her brain dead.
Priyanka was found to be suffering from a rare form of blood cancer that affects bone marrow. Initially, she was taken to Huntsville Emergency Room and later shifted to UAB Hospital. Unfortunately, her brain suffered severe internal bleeding making her lose consciousness before she was declared brain dead.
