Donald Trump’s Campaign for the Presidential elections in 2024 has stumbled across another legal obstacle in the state of Maine. The Top election official of Maine has disqualified Donald Trump from the state ballot in 2024 because of his connection in the Capitol attack. Maine became the second state to bar Trump from electoral ballots.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Colorado had disqualified Trump from the state primary ballot. This also makes Donald Trump the first ever candidate to be made ineligible for the presidency for engaging in insurrection. The decision by the Maine Secretary of State was suspended by her until the state Supreme Court ruled on it.

The US Supreme Court would be ultimately deciding on the eligibility of Donald Trump’s candidacy in the upcoming election. Some states like Michigan declined to hear an appeal on Trump’s eligibility.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump is still far ahead of all its competitors in the race for the Republican Party candidate. He still has the support of around 58 percent democrats with an extremely large gap between the rest of the competitors.
