US Green Card’s Truth: 100-Year Wait For Indians!

An Indian-origin Techie has issued a warning to other aspiring Indians, revealing the harsh reality of a Green card in the US.

Suren, a software developer from Texas, reacted to the US Ambassador’s message promoting higher education in the country and presented a counter narrative. He shared that once Indian students finish their studies, “chasing an H-1B visa becomes your full-time job.”

And if that is not enough to shake your will, Suren further claimed that the wait for a green card could stretch to 100 years! So even after obtaining an H-1B, the green card remains out of reach for many.

The Indian-American techie has squashed millions of Indian dreams of settling in America, presenting them with the bitter truth. The US system’s backlog leaves many trapped in visa renewals and job insecurity.

“Don’t believe me? Talk to anyone who came here to study in the last decade,” Suren said in a bold statement. He ended his public advisory calling for reforms and urging the US government to update these outdated visa policies.

As the immigration debate rages on, it seems the US is no longer the clear-cut destination for Indian students or employees.
