U.S: 1 In 4 Student Visas Are For Indians

For the last few years, the trend of Indian students going to the USA for higher studies has been hitting a new high. The tally is on an upward spiral every year.

Now, as per the latest reports, the U.S. has issued over 90,000 visas to Indian students in June, July, and August of 2023.

This is a staggering tally and this is the highest number of U.S. student visas issued in a 3-month period for Indian students.

To put that into perspective, 1 in every 4 student visas issued by the U.S. in the last three months were for Indian students. The approval rate has gone up and with that, has the number of students flying to the U.S.

India is now the second highest source of International students to the USA after China. The trend is showing no signs of slowing down just yet, and more so in the Telugu states.

“The U.S. Mission in India is pleased to announce that we issued a record number – over 90,000 – of student visas this Summer/ in June, July, and August. This summer almost one in four student visas worldwide was issued right here in India! Congratulations and best wishes to all the students who have chosen the United States to make their higher education goals a reality” the US Embassy wrote in their latest tweet.
