After its release in theaters, due to the disastrous responses from the audiences, rumors circulated on social media that Netflix had demanded the Thug Life team reduce the price of the OTT deal from 130 crores to 90 crores, as it received poor responses from audiences during its theatrical run.

However, the Thug Life team negotiated the price and locked the OTT deal at 110 crores. They also agreed to release the movie with a 4-week OTT window.

Consequently, for violating the norms of North Indian multiplexes by releasing it with a 4-week OTT window, the Thug Life team paid a fine of 25 lakhs to North Indian multiplexes.

Nevertheless, earlier when this news spread on social media, some people believed that they were just social media speculations. But now, after it started streaming on Netflix from yesterday night with a 4-week OTT window, they got shocked as it seems like the rumors are true.

Thug Life is now available on the Netflix OTT platform, and people who missed watching it in theaters are now watching it on Netflix and sharing their reviews on social media.

It remains to be seen whether Thug Life receives positive responses from audiences and emerges as a successful venture on OTT or whether it ends up as a troll fest and a terrible disaster on OTT too.
