Acquiring WWE rights was a masterstroke from Netflix and it put the platform a lot forward in the competition of Indian sports streaming. And now fans think Netflix should try to acquire other sports events as well, La Liga for example.
La Liga has a giant fan following in India and people are confused as to where to watch the matches on OTT. The matches are not telecast anywhere in India and there are some sites like GXR and Fancode that stream the live matches, but these sites are a bit obscure for the average user.

If Netflix takes over La Liga it will be an event of grand celebration for fans. Netflix already has a wide subscribed base and many of them are willing to watch these matches. There will be users who will join only for these matches too.
The international tournaments that SonyLIV and Jio Hotstar streams, UEFA for example are not having a very smooth streaming because there are ads and glitches and Netflix, according to fans, will do a lot better than them.
