Are the OTT rights to Dulquer Salman’s next movie bagged by Netflix? There is still no official confirmation but there are good chances.
‘Kaantha’ has a good hype and it will probably do good business in the theaters. Dulquer Salmaan has gathered a decent fan base across industries. With Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu films, he has a good reach now and Netflix will be the perfect platform for a big scale movie from him.

The theater market might not be as good as the OTT market for DQ, despite his many successes. So it is natural that the movie will be taken up by a platform that can give the maximum reach.
Netflix is on a roll too and it has gathered some good movies in its list recently. It streamed Pushpa 2, acquired the rights to Good Bad Ugly as well and there are other good titles like Maharaja and Meiyazhagan too.

So, Kaantha streaming on Netflix will be a win-win for both parties. The movie will get a better reach, and the platform will add another exciting movie to its list that can attract views.
