The first season of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ ended the same way that the book did. It has been just a day since the finale premiered and the rumours about a second season have been going around.
There has been no official word from Disney over the second season, but the great news is that the studio has opened a writer’s room. The show has been a hit on Disney’s streaming services Disney+ and Hulu with over 13.3 million views for the premiere episode during the first week.
The show had been in the making for almost half a decade and fans were excited to see their favourite characters once more on the screens. The movies did a decent job at the box office but fans wanted a more detailed version of the books and that was what they expected from the show.
The show deviated from the source material in some scenes but it kept the original essence alive. With this new rumor about a second season, one could only wait for the official confirmation.
