In the whole wide world, could you imagine a situation when two innate rivals like Disney and Warner Bros would come together? Well, even if you couldn’t imagine, they have indeed collaborated.
The giants have launched a new Sports based OTT platform.
There’s a cool new way to watch your favourite games called “Venu Sports”. It’s coming soon in the fall of 2024. Also, Fox is behind the collaboration alongside Disney and Warner Bros Discovery.
So, what’s Venu Sports all about? Well, it’s a special place where you can watch lots of live sports all in one spot. Imagine having ESPN+ and other channels with sports shows all together on your TV or phone. That’s what Venu does!
The people behind Venu Sports want to make sure watching sports is super fun and easy.
The name “Venu Sports” is pretty neat too. It’s like being at the actual venue where the games happen.
The new Venu Sports website is live at venu.com, but they’re waiting for permission to start until fall 2024. It’s run by Rookie Enterprises, LLC, a part of Fox Corp. But before they can kick off, they need to finalize some paperwork.
The government is checking if Venu Sports will be fair for everyone. Some companies, like Fubo, even filed a lawsuit because they think it’s not fair. On May 2, other companies wrote to Congress asking them to make sure everything was okay before Venu Sports starts.
When Venu Sports launches, you’ll be able to use its app to watch games. Plus, you can get it all bundled up with Disney+, Hulu, or Max for even more fun!
Let’s see what it does.
