It’s been a while since a comedy-drama film based around the big-fat-Indian wedding made it on screen to entertain us. Keep Dreaming Pictures and T-Series is ready to bring us Ghudchadi on 9 August exclusively on Jio Cinema Premium. It is going to be a comic tale of love and confusion ranging across the love stories of two generations.
Written and directed by Binoy Gandhi the film has a dazzling array of stars like Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Parth Samthaan, Khushali Kumar, Aruna Irani and Achint Kaur. The film was shot over different schedules in New Delhi and Jaipur. Seeing the reprisal of evergreen actors Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon together takes fans back to the 90’s era of Vijeta and Zamane Se Kya Darna. The jodi is set to bring back the charm along with a duo of young stars.

The film can be a wholesome family entertainer for the season. However, often comedy dramas succumb to similar tropes and offer nothing new. The performances get overshadowed by excessive glamorization and reduces the impact of the narrative. How well Ghudchadi fares in terms of storyline and performance can only be revealed after its official release on Jio Cinema. This film will also be a Bollywood debut for TV actor Parth Samthaan famous for Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan.
