Manoj Bajpayee plays the lead role and this has surprised many fans. Since he is a Brahmin in real life, some viewers question why he agreed to the project. They feel the character damages the image of their community.

Several netizens argue that the title promotes caste based hatred. They believe linking corruption with a specific identity is unfair. Many feel this portrayal is a direct attack on cultural values.
