Downloaded? Still Ads? Jio Hotstar Hits Peak Stupidity

JioHotstar was expected to elevate the OTT experience in India, but the recently JioHotstar is facing immense criticism from premium subscribers, because now JioHotstar is showing ads on their downloaded content as well.

Despite paying for a premium subscription, users are being forced to watch advertisements while streaming shows and movies offline.

This move by JioHotstar left the audience frustrated because downloaded content means uninterrupted streaming, and people download movies or series so that they can watch it while they travel without thinking about the network issue.

But JioHotstar’s recent decision undermines the very purpose of offline downloads.

Previously they have offered, an ads free streaming for premium viewers but the heavy flow of monetization seems to be at odds with viewers satisfaction.

OTT platforms should offer seamless and flexible streaming when that very thing is compromised it is a big issue that should be solved and from a streaming gaint like JioHotstar we do not expect such inconvenience. Its high time JioHotstar should re think about it.
