On the occasion of Ram Navami, Jio Hotstar brought an event with a big star cast to celebrate the festival. Such events are usually a success on OTTs but was this one a success?

Jio Hotstar’s Ram Navami streamed on the 6th of April and it had Amitabh Bachchan as the narrator. There were singers like Kailash Kher and Malini Avasthi who had performances in it.
But looks like the show did not have much of a hype on social media. Netizens are very silent on this topic. There are a few posts about how great the show was and how Amitabh Bachchan made it special, but these few tweets always have the doubt of being biased.

Events like Rathyatra, Ramlila or Mahalaya gather more responses on social media and people talk about the pros and cons of the shows for quite some time. But Jio Hotstar’s Ram Navami failed to do so.
There are indeed people who are praising it, but it looks like such a massive event goes almost unnoticed. With celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Malini Avasthi, Kailash Kher, such a formulated and planned show missed out public attention and that is quite strange. But the platform did its best and it cannot be blamed after all.
